These tool are great for landscaping work or digging into hard surfaces and are generally used with a shovel bit but can also be used in tight corners for breaking up concrete with rebar in it. They can reach tight spots where a traditional pavement breaker or jack hammer can't fit. These can be used with a pointed bit as well as a flat chisel and are generally a 25 lb class tool. They are heavier duty than a chipping hammer and are generally assembled with a bit using packing material in the end of its retainer. They can be used for heavy duty core pin knock-out work and are sold with a variety of different style bits depending on what type of work you need done.
